Hi, if I currently selected a BTO flat (before signing lease of agreement), and spotted a resale flat that I want. And then cancel the BTO and barred for a year, what are the chances of the resale flat being still available?

Hi, it doesn’t matter as you can go ahead and to pay the option fee of $1000 for the resale flat that you like. In the event that you change your mind and still prefer BTO instead, you only lose the $1000 deposit.

  • Hi Aaron, thank you for your reply. I was just wondering based on veteran property gurus' experiences here, will a resale property still be available after a year because of HDB barring me from applying for resale. I had confirmed with HDB that I will be barred from resale no matter the condition (grant or no grant).
