For your situation, to maximise your returns, I will suggest you purchase a good size condo in a good location to live with your parents and to rent out a portion of it. For your parents, each of them can purchase a lower quantum investment grade property to rent it out while waiting for capital appreciation.
In this way, your family can concurrently own 3 properties while concurrently collecting rental income from all 3 properties.
