It is said that there is no better nor worse time to embark in a new venture than now... the sooner you get in, the quicker you acquire a firmer foothold.
With regards to the bad market situation you mentioned... a falling market is bad for sellers, but good for purchasers, and the opposite is also true. The us realtors who are the facilitators of such transactions, the market is always good whether the market is bullish or bullish. Our fear is always in a stagnant market.
So, getting back to your question as to whether this is a good time to get into the industry, I believe strongly that it is. It is only a matter of whether you know how to work in the market and if you can maintain a more positive outlook instead of being sucked down by a majority.
