hi i would like to know are we tied down by an agent when purchasing a house because our hle was done by him. it feels like i'm being stranded by my agent when i'm trying to buy a house right now. is it acceptable if i negotiate with another agent?

Hi Johari, if you have not signed any formal documents appointing the agent and giving him exclusive rights to source for a house for you, you are free to negotiate with another agent.

You can simply apply for another HLE from HDB. You can even do it online at the HDB website.
