Hi, I would like to know after selling a private apartment and purchasing and staying in a resale HDB flat for two and a half years, can I then apply for a new HDB flat or EC? Or is there a five-year MOP rule?

Evening Mr. Low,

Based on the period that you have stayed in your current unit, you are likely to have purchased the unit after 29 Aug 2010. Hence you are required to fulfill 5 years MOP before you are eligible for BTO or new EC project.
