Hi ,

I would like to find out :

1. my partner has a private property that he bought with his family before we met and he is a pr.
1a - Am I still eligible for BTO (with him / myself) ?
1b - Are we still able to get a HDB resale?


2. how long after getting a bto, then i can get a private property?

Hi Ms,

I regret to inform you that you will not be eligible for BTO, as your partner will have to dispose off his private property, and wait out 30 months, before both of you can apply for a BTO together.

You can however get a resale HDB flat together. Upon the completion of the purchase, he will need to dispose off his interest in the private property within 6 months.

Both of you can get a private property only after serving the 5-year MOP of your HDB resale flat.

Hi,

Unfortunately he has to dispose his ownership interest in private property first, wait out 30 months, before he can apply BTO with you. However, you can apply resale HDB together no issue, just that he needs to dispose his private property interest within 6 months.

Once you purchase resale HDB, have to stay for 5 years MOP before you can purchase 2nd residential property.

Good afternoon,

Since your partner is the co-owner of private property, you will only be eligible for BTO, if you are SC, after he have relinquished his ownership status, 30 months later.
However, both of you will be eligible for resale HDB unit. Your partner will be required to relinquish his private property ownership within 6 months from key collection date.

Good afternoon,

both of you are not eligible for BTO now as he owns a private property.

If you are still keen in BTO, he has to dispose off his interest in the private property then observe a waiting period of 30 months before both of you can apply for BTO. You must be a Singaporean because he's a SPR.

As for resale HDB purchase, both of you are eligible to purchase and he has to dispose his ownership of private property within 6 months from resale HDB purchase completion date.

Lastly, you will have to fulfill 5 years minimum occupation period first before you are eligible to purchase a private property.
