Hi I would like to ask. I am a foreigner and me and my Fiancee (she's a SC) will get married next year.

I wonder if we could buy resale HDB before the wedding date, let say we buy the flat first and we give notice to HDB that we got married within 3 months of purchase of the flat.

Or do I have to wait until we have ROM then we could apply for HDB purchase?

Hi

If you are a SPR (permanent Resident) you can apply under the Fiance or fiancee scheme,

If you are not an SPR, you will need to apply under Non-citizen spouse scheme,of which you will need to wait for ROM certificate of Marriage.

Hope this address your questions.

Hi,

Since you are not a PR, than you have to get your marriage certificate before buying any resale flat under Non-Citizen Spouse scheme.

Your marriage certificate date must be earlier than the date of signing OTP.

Even if you decided to apply for BTO (2-rm flexi), under the same scheme. You will have to produce marriage certificate during application.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more queries, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.

Best regards

Hi

You must be married before you are allowed to buy a HDB resale or apply for a BTO.(only 2-flexi).

We have served a similar case ie (SC/foreigner) whose household income exceeds $12K - no grant.

You may write to gavin.ng@orangetee.com and we can meet for a casual chat.
