Hi, I will be 35 in July 2018. I am single and looking to get at least a 3rm flat. My mom, who's finalizing a divorce, will stay with me. I am appealing to HDB to allow me to apply before I reach 35. If I am interested in any property listed on here, can I "reserve" or be under KIV till I can officially apply in July 2018. Thanks.

Hi,

I hereby assume both you & mother are Singapore Citizen.

You may purchase resale HDB with your mum using "Public Scheme", as your mum (divorce) & yourself form a family nucleus.

Please be reminded that finance and ownership are 2 separate issue, not necessary that a owner has to repay the installment.

Thus you don't have to wait for another 10 months before buying a flat. Of course, you may change the ownership to sole ownership after you reach 35 years old.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more queries, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.

Best regards

Good morning,

Once your mother's divorce case have been finalized with court order, you will need to understand the content. Execution of court order is vital before you purchase a HDB resale unit with her under public scheme. This would mean that you do not need to wait till age of 35 before getting one.

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.
