Hi,

I understand that income ceiling for EC is $14,000.

If both parties hold a basic salary with commission, do we take the basic monthly salary or annual income into consideration?

Income assessment is done during application or at a later stage?

If during launch day, we chosen a unit with deposit made but later fail the income assessment, do we get back our deposit?

what is the chances for appeal if income exceed 10% more than the capping?

By the way, let’s say you have already placed a deposit to secure a unit and later on the HDB rejected your application base on the income status. The deposit will be refunded back to you. I am currently also assisting a couple who are keen in a new EC project.

Hi,

Is the variable commission on a recurring basis? Income assessment is done at point of application at booking of unit. Typically exceeding income ceiling by 10% requires appeal with hdb, and on case by case basis. I have worked on similar cases and perhaps I could share more inputs.

Usually for salary with commission component involved, we will take average of 12 month's pay to average out the monthly salary. Income assessment are done during the E-Application ( before booking ) as we need to enter all your details into the HDB system to ensure your eligibility.I have done a few appeal cases before and i'm also from the appointed developer's sales team involved in the upcoming EC in Punggol, which will be launching soon. 1. Based on annual income
2. Income assessment has to be done before booking
3. Can appeal to HDB on case by case basis on income ceiling
