No, you will not be eligible to participate in new launch EC after you purchase a resale EC, which is considered as a private property.

Hi, it will not be possible as an EC is considered as a resale flat from the 6th-10th year, and there will be a MOP period after purchasing it, which will make you ineligible to apply for any new launch EC next year.

Morning,

Not possible because private property owners (ie. resale EC buyer) will not be eligible to apply for new EC. They are only eligible after selling the private property and wait out 30 months first then can be eligible to apply.

May I know which developments and new EC you are comparing with? Hope the above clarifies. No you will not be able to, as there is a MOP period after purchasing the EC resale, you have to fulfil 5 years before you can sell. This will not be in time for your purchase of New Launch EC next year.

Hi Sir/Mdm,

If you were to purchase a resale EC, then you will not be able to ballot for the new EC next year because resale EC is considered as a private property and to be eligible for a new EC, you will need to sell the private property and wait out a 30 months period before you are eligible to ballot.

If your plan is to purchase a new EC as a 2nd timer, then I would suggest you not selling the BTO yet and if you managed to get a new EC, sell only when the new EC is ready. Buying a Resale EC Affects New EC Eligibility:
Buying a resale EC counts as private property ownership.
Owning private property disqualifies you from balloting for a new EC.
To be eligible for a new EC again, you would need to:
Sell the resale EC (private property).
Wait a 30-month cool-down period.
Recommendation (if aiming for a new EC):
Don't sell your current BTO flat yet.
If you win the ballot for a new EC:
Sell your BTO flat only after the new EC is settled
