Hi. I’m a singaporean married to a foreigner and we have a singaporean child. Am i not eligible to apply HFE with my child? I am stuck at the page asking for my spouse’s NRIC but he does not have one since we are not residing in singapore. Hence i’m not able to proceed with the application. i thought i can just apply the hfe with my child. am i wrong?

Hi,

yes you can apply with your children, with your child name as applicant along with you, and your spouse as occupier.

Hi,
If you are not residing in SG, you will not be able to purchase a flat. When your family moves over here or just before that, you can do an HFE with all the necessary details. HDB will then consider your application favourably.

1) Yes, you may even buy a BTO under your situation.
2) Your spouse must have a social pass in order to get a FIN number for your application.
(a) If you are under 35 years old, your spouse must have a long-term social pass or a work permit to be eligible for the purchase.
(b) If you are 35 and older, your spouse only needs a normal social pass or a work permit to be eligible for the purchase.

3) Once your spouse gets the correct and valid pass, it is essential for all of you to apply for the Singpass.
4) That will really ease your purchase process. The HFE will be automatically filled using the info from your Singpass.
5) If you and your spouse have no intention to return then it is no point for you to buy.
