Hi, I rented a condo along with my sibling and I'm listed as the occupant in the tenancy agreement.
I do not wish to continue renting. I do not liaise directly with the agent nor the landlord.
However, my sibling would want continue due to the hefty penalty and threatened that I should continue paying for that room and that I'm also part of the TA and I should be responsible.
I'd like to terminate this entire thing because this sibling of mine is too much for me. Does the tenancy agreement affects me if I choose not to continue contributing to the rent.
I have done my part in persuading her to terminate and wiling to pay the hefty sum but it seems like she isn't willing due to the optimal location of the rented property.
How should I go about in such situations and what should I be aware of.
