Hi, I recently got married. My wife is Malaysian (but not a PR). I am looking to buy a resale HDB but not sure if we can. It seems we must apply a non-citizen spouse scheme from what I see from the HDB website. But my wife does not have any kind of work pass currently. How should I go about buying a resale? Can I buy something first and then apply for the work pass for my wife later?

Evening Max,

From your statement, I gather that you are SC. To purchase resale HDB unit under non-citizen spouse scheme, your spouse must hold long term visitor pass, if you are under 35. Depending on your monthly income, you might also be eligible for HDB loan.
