Evening Rafiqul, Since you have moved to Australia since 5 years ago, for the purpose of employment, but have decided to purchased the HDB unit, knowing that you have your commitment with your employer, who have indicated that you know where you stand (since you would be required to go through the buyer's checklist prior the purchase. Given the current situation, you can either opt to give up your employment in Australia and return to SG to fulfill the MOP requirement, or left the unit vacant, or give up your citizenship and be required to sell away your unit. Since you have not fulfilled MOP and purchased it 4 years ago (where the seller stamp duty was introduced), you might be required to pay this tax duly. As to whether you can get the concession to market the unit in the resale market or be take back by HDB, it would depends on your chance of appeal.
