Hi, I just received my HLE letter, and only eligible for the amount slightly above 289K. Married to an Employment Pass Holder, that has been in Singapore for more than 3 years, and our joint income exceeds 7,5K. I found the HLE amount approved is too little, any advice wether I should / could appeal successfully?

Evening Crystal,

For your case, you have to apply for resale unit under non-citizen spouse scheme. This means that the chances of your spouse not granted the extension of stay is high, thus it's unlikely for financial institute to grant you mortgage loan based on both income.

You can either work with what you have to purchase a smaller unit or wait till your spouse obtain SPR status.
