Hi,

I just got married & intend to purchase a resale flat near my family. However, my husband has yet to relinquish his name from his parent's flat & reinstate his CPF from over the years of contribution. (this will take sometime from what i understand)

Is it still possible for us to proceed to look for a flat or not (with no complications)?

Good morning,

Your spouse parents need to obtain loan or utilize their CPF fund so that they can buy over his share. This would be more of transfer of share which have to be executed by the owners at HDB.
Without that being done, both of you still can proceed to purchase your dream home. But by doing so, his parents will be forced to buy over his share in their current unit even though they are not financially capable.
Therefore, it would be good to work on the details first before moving forward.

Do feel free to contact me should you require additional assistance.
