Hi.
I intent to buy a hdb resale unit and putting my parent as occupant as I intent to take the Parent promixity grant.
But currently my parent is staying in their own Hdb house.
Once I shifted into my resale HDB unit, my parent will sell their house and stay with me.
Will HDB allows that?

If I do not recall wrongly, they will be required to sell off their own property within a stipulated time frame from your completion on purchase. Do check in with HDB directly to find out more instead since they are the authority party. Whatever we say here will not have any regulatory impact. Read More

Hi,

Yes its possible, you will be eligible for higher proximity housing grant if your parents are staying with you and included as occupants. Do add their names as applicants/occupants in the HFE application.

However they will have to sell their existing flat within 6 months after completion to your resale flat.

Hi there, yes that is definitely an option. and HDB does allow time for the transition for your parent to either sell or rent out their HDB. It would be best for you and your parents to sit down and work out a timeline for the transition that's best fit for everyone before you proceed with your plans.

Yes HDB will allow your arrangement.

Will you be buying within 4km or same HDB estate as them? If yes, you are still eligible for PHG.

If you buy alone, they can rent out their HDB for passive income.
