Hi, I intend to purchase a resale 3+1 HDB near clementi, under Non-Citizen Family Scheme. I m SC; my mom is holding a LTVP of more than 6 months. We do not own any property locally and overseas. In this case, how much ABSD do we need to pay? 0%, 5% or 15%? Thanks.

Hi Jack, With reference to your enquiry, I would need to meet up with you to discuss further. Extract from IRAS web site below SPRs are required to pay ABSD at 5% if they buy their first residential property on their own or jointly with SC. However if both you and your SPR spouse do not own any property and the matrimonial home is the only residential property owned by you and your spouse, you are eligible for the ABSD remission for spouses.
