Hi! I have some questions regarding property purchase and wish to get some kind advice from the gurus here.

My husband and I have currently sold off our EC. We are looking to purchase a hdb resale next.
1. Can I purchase the hdb resale alone, and just list him as essential occupier?
2. If yes, can he purchase a private condo on his own after MOP?

Hi Janice,

1) Yes, you may buy under sole ownership. You will have to include your husband as an occupier in the purchase.
2) He will automatically become the essential occupier under this purchase.
3) As an essential occupier means he is not owning any property, thus able to buy a private condo after the MOP without incurring ABSD.
