Hi, I have purchased a new condo that is solely under my name. I have recently collected the keys. however, I am now attached and would like to explore adding my partner's name to the property with the idea of paying for the loan together. Can you advise on what the steps are and if it is advisable? Thank you.

To be honest, unless it is not viable financially for you to be paying this loan, otherwise you will be restricting investment opportunity in future by putting your partner subjected to Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty for 2nd property if there are plans to generate rental income through investment moving forward.

Otherwise, you can arrange to speak to a lawyer to do a part sale of the property to your partner.
