Hi I have just sold a condo (under my name only) and intend to get a resale property with my spouse in 2017.

Can I still purchase a new EC after holding out for 30 months even as I buy the resale HDB? When do I need to release the resale flat on purchase of the EC?

Can I also get any funding as I have not utilize any funding before. My spouse is a first time buyer.

Hi,

Once you purchase the resale HDB, you will need to fulfil the minimum occupation period (MOP) of 5 years before you can purchase the next residential property (ie. your new EC). Yes you are right that you have to wait out a 30 month period from the date you sold your condo, before you can buy new EC.

Hi,

You may need to fulfill the 5 years Minimum Occupation Period if you purchase the resale hdb before you can purchase any other residential properties. If you wish to get a new EC, it will need to wait for a 30 months before after you sold your condo.
