Hi, I have found a condo and issued the 1% cheque to my agent. The seller is a Myanmar national and doesn’t have a bank account in SG hence the transaction is not progressing. Apparently, opening a bank account in SG for a Myanmar national is a complicated and long-drawn process. Has anyone come across a similar situation? Any other alternative options I can propose to the seller?

It is quite rare for a property owner not to have a bank account in Singapore since he or she may need it for monthly repayment as well as the payment of maintenance fees. Read More
