Hi, I have been a PR for more than 10 years. My wife and 8 year old daughter got their PR in July 2021. So, they are completing 3 years in July 2024. I also have a 1 year old son who got his PR in Sep 2023. Am I eligible to buy a resale HDB after Jul 2024 with my wife? Or do I have to wait till my son also completes 3 years as PR?

Hi Alexis,

You can try applying for HFE upon meeting the 3 years SPR for your wife and daughter. I don't think your son will require to meet 3 years SPR status since he is only 1 years old, and it is not his fault to be less than 3 years SPR since he cannot be 3 years SPR when he is only 1 years old.

Hi,

As long as both you and your wife have at least 3 years of SPR status, you are eligible to apply. So July 2024 onwards you can start applying HFE letter and look for resale flat.
