Hi Fred,

For landed properties, the only way you can really increase your value is that you hire a famous iconic architect/id to do up your place. Otherwise, the increase will be quite negligible. I agree with fred, its more economical to sell it without renovation.

It really depends on how much you want to make and can market support your selling price?

Few question you may want to ask yourself:

1. Is it worth the effort to get contractors,
to liase with the renovation e.t.c?

2. Valuation Now without renovation how much PSF?
Rough Valuation with Renovation will be how much
in PSF?

If after renovation of 600k, the values is at $1Million more compared to without renovation. Then it is worth the go. You may want to submit your renovation design to banker to let them give you an indicative valuation and see what they say.

I suggest doing some analysis above will help you make a more informed decision and choice.
