Hi,

I currently own a HDB flat and have bought a private condo which is expected to TOP in 2 years time.

In the meantime, can I rent out my existing HDB flat as I intend to rent another place near my in-laws while waiting for my condo unit to be ready?

Hi,

Subletting of entire HDB unit is subject to HDB approval and also your 5year MOP have been met. In your case, for proximity to living near family reasons, HDB might be more open to such cases, subject to their review. Maybe you would like to speak to an HDB officer and get approval before finding tenants. Thanks and hope to be able to assist further and work with you soon.

If you have fulfilled the Minimum Occupation Period (MOP) for your current HDB, that shouldn't be an issue.
