Asked by
Hi!

I am under 35 years old SC and currently living in a HDB flat with my family. My father (SC) is the sole owner of the flat.

Since my father is the sole owner of the current flat that we live in, is it possible for me to buy a BTO with my mother (SPR) even if I’m under 35?

Thank you!

Hi,

1) As long as your parent is under the married status, they are considered as 1 entity.
2) You are not able to apply with your mother for BTO or buy any resale flat even though she is not the owner.
3) She is the essential occupier of the current flat. Your father will need her consent before being allowed to sell the current flat.

Hope the above answer to your main concerns, but if there are more query, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.
