Hi, I am staying in a 5 room fully paid HDB, I am in need of cash, can I sell it and refinance another unit?

Evening DY,

Depending on your age and family requirement, you can always sell your current unit and downgrade or move to another estate of lower pricing.
However, if you are looking at immediate cash, this move would only generate funding in 3 to 4 months time.

Hi DY,

Have you considered refinancing your HDB flat? Ride on the current low interest rates (your CPF is generating more interest than what the banks charge you!) Can I ask my banker to give you a call? Just hear her various suggestions. No obligations to enter any contract whatsoever. :)

Hi DY,

I do not think you can do capital financing for your HDB flat as claimed by Jonathan. Of course, i might be in the wrong, do check with the bankers.
