Yes based on the limited info shared, sounds feasible. However, getting a BTO 5-rm next time means he has to incur a resale levy, and also have to go through the balloting process again. He can only apply for BTO again when his 5 year MOP is up, and that means another 3-4 years waiting time. He can't apply BTO with you though since you will have private property under your name, only with his parents again. However, you all can apply resale hdb as married couple once his BTO MOP is up no problem.
