Since you are already above 35 years old, you can buy under the Single Scheme yourself.

You can't buy with your mom under the Public Scheme as that would require a family nucleus, eg with both of your parents.

Morning Sam,

Your mum and dad are considered as one entity hence you are not eligible to purchase HDB unit with your mum. If you are SC, you are eligible to purchase resale HDB unit under single scheme.

You can buy under the Single Scheme under your own name.

Importantly is to workout your financial budget so that you can have a better headstart in looking at the properties you are interested.

Moreover, now that the government is also opening new flats to Singles, you may also consider.
