Hi
I am single age 51 years old; a first timer buyer intends to buy a 3room HDB BTO with my parents. My parents will sell the current house once we get it.
: problem - I just started on my new job which is less than 3 months
: only have 2021 CPF statement and previous years
: check with HDB and I'm not eligible as essential occupier?!
: eligible for 2 room if not essential occupier?!
Please help since I don't understand

Since you are first timer and single, you will only be eligible to purchase BTO 2room flat in non-mature estates. As you mentioned that you have started your new job for less than 3 months, how about your income before this job? As long as you are able to provide proof of regular income, HLE should be able to do the assessment and provide a figure on your loan eligibility. Is your parents' house a resale unit with any grant or purchased directly from HDB?

If your parents had not utilised 2 times subsidised housing, you may wish to form a valid family nucleus with them to apply for a 3RM BTO instead.

If they had utilised 2 times, you will only be eligible to apply for a 2RM BTO flat.
