As per new ruling, 15-months wait out period for Private property owners (PPO) and ex-PPO will be added for non-subsidised HDB resale flats with the exception of seniors aged 55 and above, along with their spouses who want to downgrade to a 4-room or smaller flat.

With the new implementation of measures last night you will not be eligible to purchase resale HDB after the sale of your EC for a period of 15 months.

Hi,

Unfortunately with the new measures, unless you are 55 years and above buying a 4-room or smaller resale HDB, you cannot purchase a resale HDB immediately and have to wait out 15 months before being eligible to do so.

Good evening, Sadly EC considers private, and thus u will not be able to sell and buy HDB even without the grant. You may purchase if the owner of the EC is above 55. The 15 month cooling period starts from the day you deposed the unit :)

Due to the latest cooling measures announced last week, ex and existing private property owners are not eligible to purchase a resale HDB after they sell their private (inclusive resale EC). They have to observe 15 months waiting period after disposal before they can buy a resale HDB unless buyers are 55 years old and above buying a 4rm or smaller flat.

With the latest ruling from 30th Sept 2022, you will only be able to purchase a 4RM or smaller HDB resale flat if you and your spouse are above age 55.

If either or both of you are below age 55, you will have to observe a 15-month wait out period after the sale of your EC, before you can purchase a HDB resale flat.
