Hi,

1) Information provided is insufficient to understand what is your current situation.
2) Questions such as:
(a) Are you an SC
(b) Are you married
(c) Are you at or over 35 yrs old
(d) If you are single are you buying with your immediate family?
3) Under current available eligible schemes, siblings won't be an essential occupier, because if this is buying under orphan or joint-single schemes, both siblings have to be owners and not an essential occupier.
4) If you are single and above 35 yrs old. Your brother utmost can be an occupier only and won't be an essential occupier. The same is applicable if you are married.
5) Adding your brother as an occupier won't affect him to apply for BTO or buy a resale HDB flat. It also won't affect the CPF grants.
