Hi, I am married to my husband last year. Both of us has HDB property of our own, and both property also have not reached MOP yet. Do I need to sell one flat once 1 of the flat reaches MOP? Would I get penalised?

Morning,

Technically you are already considered one family nucleus entity household, so can only keep and hold onto 1 HDB. You are required to add your spouse name to one of the HDB upon marriage and to decide which unit to sell.

Hi, Yes you would have to sell one of the HDB, as a family nucleus can only hold one HDB. I personally do not think you will get penalised for that.

Yes you will need to sell one of the flats because HDB view a married couple as a single family nucleus and therefore can only own 1 HDB flat together as husband and wife.

Absolutely! Owning two HDB flats as a married couple isn't possible. HDB sees married couples as a single family unit, and their policy restricts such couples to owning only one HDB flat together. This means you'll eventually need to sell one of the flats.
