I am going to apply for BTO with my mother. My question is if our application is successful, do we have to sell our current place immediately or are we allowed to continue staying at our current place and sell it only when its nearing the completion of the BTO flat?

Good afternoon,

If your finances permit, you can stay in your current place while waiting for the new flat to be completed.

Do take note that you have to sell off your current flat within 6 months from keys collection date.

Hi,

If financing the BTO is not an issue, you can sell your hdb within 6 months after key collection to BTO. If you have alternative housing, you may also wish to consider selling now as HDB prices have been moderating downwards. Thanks and hope to be able to assist with your housing plans further.
