hi i am asking on behalf of my sister she is undergoing divorce and wants to get a place of her own . can she get a hdb flat , she has a family nucleus (she and her daughter)? also does she have to get officially divorced before she can apply for a flat , can she start applying in the interim when she is undergoing divorce proceedings ?

Morning Albert,

If the custody of the child is under your sister, she can purchase resale HDB unit under Public Scheme. However, it's always better to proceed after she have gotten the court order, instead of interim judgement.
