Hi, I am applying for a BTO. I understand that I must be continuously employed for 12 months to be eligible for the grant. However, I have recently switched to a higher paying job in Jan. Will there be an issue if i dont have a payslip for January?

You may try applying for HFE to see if it works?

I have been in the real estate business since 2009, with more than 14 years of experience serving the Singapore real estate market.

I am very active in the residential segment of Singapore real estate market, having transacted hundreds of deals from HDBs to private condominiums and landed properties in Singapore, and have handled many unique cases in sales and purchases as well as rental deals.

Over the years, I have also established a network reaching out to more than 9,400 expatriates, bringing my market presence to both in and outside of Singapore. This has created an additional exposure when I manage my client's portfolios, on top of the conventional on and offline platforms, where other estate agents are relying on. This has allowed me to consistently convert leads into results.

With an evolving market, where change is the only constant, I have also been investing in upgrading of my knowledge and skills sets to improve myself and meet the demands of current and future market.

We are offering our clients a complimentary first consultation without obligations (Absolutely FREE!). Schedule for your FREE session today!

You're right that HDB requires continuous employment for 12 months to be eligible for grants when applying for a BTO flat. Here's how your recent job change might affect your application:

**Payslip for January:**

* Not having a January payslip might not necessarily disqualify you, but it's important to provide as much proof of employment as possible.

**Here's what you can do:**

* **Offer Letter:** If you have a signed offer letter from your new employer mentioning your start date and salary, this can be helpful proof of your employment.
* **Payslips from Previous Employer:** Provide payslips from your previous employer covering the 12 months before your new job.
* **Employment Verification Letter:** Request a letter from your new employer verifying your start date and current employment status.

**Contact HDB:**

* It's recommended to **contact HDB directly** to clarify your situation and inquire about the specific documents they require in your case. You can reach them through their website ([https://www.hdb.gov.sg/](https://www.hdb.gov.sg/)) or by phone at 6100 1000  .

**Additional Tips:**

* **Apply on Time:** Even if you can't provide a January payslip initially, ensure you submit your BTO application by the deadline. You can potentially submit the missing document later if HDB requests it.
* **Be Prepared:** Having all your other employment documents in order (previous payslips, offer letter, etc.) will strengthen your application.

By being proactive and gathering as much evidence as possible, you can increase your chances of a smooth BTO application process despite the recent job change. Read More
