Good morning Jonathan,

You are only eligible to ink on the OTP on/ after both of you fulfilled 3 years of SPR.

Thus it will be too early to start sourcing for an unit right now. We can start house hunting perhaps 1 month before you turn SPR for 3 years. This is to reduce the chances of being upset if you like an unit but still cant buy yet.

Hi Johnathan

You must reach your 3 years time line before you can sign on the OTP. Anytime earlier will likely to cause you the frustration as you cannot book the desirable flat.

Having served numerous SPR/SPR, it is in my opinion that you can start physical viewing a week before or on the day of reaching the 3 years time line. In fact, it will not take you too long to decide on the unit as you have had the experience and reference due to your past decision on the selection of the rented flat.

What I would suggest is to find an agent whom you can comfortably work with. It is in fact important as the right agent with help you tremendously in the search and decision.

Some of my buyers did not move-on with me immediately due to the 3 years time line or MOP. Either case, it takes 2-3 months. I hope the suggestion is helpful.
