Hi I am a SPR since last 11 years; and my wife and child have been granted PR on last July 2014. As i understand, New PR should wait for 3 years to buy HDB flats. Since i will be the primary applicant and i am presently at the 11th year of my PR, am i eligible to apply for HDB Resale flats? If no, anyway out to do appeal with HDB in this case ? Your advice would be much helpful.

Hi,

Unfortunately no, they are quite strict with the policy on 3 years must lapse before SPR couple can purchase hdb. You may wish to consider private condo instead. Thanks and hope to discuss further.

Good afternoon,

You are not eligible to purchase a resale HDB as your SPR spouse has not fulfill SPR status for 3 years.

You can try to appeal but it will be based on case by case basis.

If not your alternative will be private housing.
