Good evening,

If you want to utilize housing grant, you have to purchase resale HDB unit not bigger than 5 room flat. You are eligible for single grant as your income is less than S$6k.
However, if you are looking at EC or condo, you can look at resale unit.

You are only eligible for CPF Housing Grant (Half-grant) if you choose to purchase a resale HDB flat.

There is no grants for purchasing resale EC or any other condos.

Dear Sir/Mdm,

It depends on your objectives on whether you intend to buy the place for own stay or for investment.

If you intend to buy for own stay, then probably HDB will make sense and you will be eligible for the single grant of 20k or 25k.

For condo, the potential for capital appreciation is greater and you will be able to enjoy the lifestyle living if you are staying there. However, the price tag is higher so you have to ensure that you can afford it comfortably.
