Yes, you are required to sell off overseas property if you intend to buy HDB unit.

Afternoon Andy,

If you intend to purchase another HDB, you will be required to sell off the current one, within 6 months from collection of keys. With the current HDB ruling, HDB buyers are not allowed to be owners of private residential properties, within or out of Singapore. Therefore, to sell off your current unit and purchase another HDB unit would mean that your spouse is required to remove her ownership status on the overseas residential property.
