Hi, i am a SG Citizen and i am planning to buy a resale HDB flat probably in end 2023.
I own a property in Malaysia which my parents are currently staying there. My father has retired and my mom is unable to work due to health condition.

I am intending to get HDB loan, do no need housing grant.
Can I check what is the procedure that i should go for first?
Should I appeal first before getting the flat? once approved then start looking for flat.
Or should i purchase a flat first then only declare the overseas property and appeal?

The most important is to get HDB loan.

Dear sir/madam,

Is the Malaysia property fully paid? Is there any chance to transfer the ownership to your parents instead in order to clear your status to purchase a HDB in Singapore?

Hi,

I'm afraid that you're not eligible for a HDB loan, as one of the requirements is that you do not own any private properties (local and overseas) within the last 30 months.

Should you have a valid reason, you may wish to write in the HDB to appeal. However, my advice is don't get your hopes too high, as I feel your chances are slim.

You may wish to consider taking up a bank loan instead.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Robbie Chen
