Hi, I am a SC (age above 35years) and married to a foreigner who is holding LTVP and planing to get a HDB resale. Like to check if we can only purchase under the Non-Citizen Spouse Scheme or is there any other scheme applicable?
Is it mandatory to list the non-citizen as the occupier? If so, the non citizen occupier needs to dispose off all overseas property?

Hi,

Yes, in this case, you qualify under Non-Citizen Spouse Scheme. And she will have to dispose off all interests in all residential properties (local and overseas).

If you could provide proof that the residential properties are meant for family use and not for investment, then you could try to appeal to HDB for a waiver. Approval will be on a case-by-case basis.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
