married couple (SC and SPR) are eligible to apply for NEW EC subject to eligibility conditions.

Care to share how come your wife is not eligible?

Alternatively you can consider to buy a RESALE EC under your sole name but do take note 5% additional buyer's stamp duty (ABSD) will be applicable for your first residential property purchase in Singapore.

For new EC, you will have to apply with your spouse to form a family nucleus to be eligible to purchase. Care to share why your wife is not eligible to purchase?

Alternatively you can consider resale EC of 5 years and above and purchase under your sole name.
