Yes you can purchase resale EC or private condo under your single name, in fact that will be better with lower stamp duty rate.

Dear Sir,

You are able to buy a private property either by yourself or with your wife. However, if you are buying with your wife, the Additional Buyer Stamp Duty will be 20% whereas if you purchase it yourself, the stamp duty is 5%.

For resale EC, if the property is below 10 years after completion, your wife will not be eligible. Please feel free to contact me so that I can understand your situation better and assist you accordingly.

Yes, you're eligible to purchase a resale EC or a private condo.

However, do take note that should you purchase under joint names with your wife (which I suppose is not a Singapore Citizen), an ABSD rate of 20% will be levied. If you purchase it under your sole name, ABSD will be at 5%.

Hi,

For purchase of condo, you can purchase either with your wife or yourself. The difference is the stamp duty you need to pay.

For resale of EC, if the EC is between 6 to 10 years, it can only be purchase minimally SPR. Only 10 years onward then foreigner can buy Resale EC.
