Hi, I am a new Singapore Citizen under 35 years old. I am eligible to buy resale HDB under non-citizen family scheme. I understand that when I apply with my parent (say mother only), I and my mother must not have any property under our name, being local or overseas. How about my father's property? Must both of my parents clear their property if I would like to purchase house here with only one of them?

Hi Mr Liang, upon purchasing a resale hdb unit and once you collected the keys to it, you will need to dispose of your overseas property within 6 months. Pls feel free to let me know if you need any assistance.

Good evening,

I do understand that this scheme is abit confusing as it stated you are required to apply with your parents which could mean both parents must to be included in the application.. And it continued to state only those who are listed must dispose their interest in private property within 6 months from resale HDB purchase.

Let me email HDB for you and find out for you.

Is there any way that I can get in touch with you when I have updates?
