To be eligible for a brand new EC, you will need to form a family nucleus. If you have a family with you, it might not be feasible to stay in the studio unit, especially if you have children.

Good morning Sir/ Mdm,

you have to form a family nucleus in order to be eligible for new EC.

And to be eligible to buy dual key unit, you will have to form a multi generation family for example, both of you and parents/ grand parents. They will have to dispose off their property to be included in the application.

If you decide to get a big size dual key and have 4 people in the studio (will be too small for 4) and rent out the bigger side. The max you can go is 2 pax cause under URA regulations, max unrelated pax is 6 per unit.

Moreover recent EC launches seldom have dual key concept anymore and with upcoming launches might be going for at least $1100 psf, will you be keen to opt for other alternatives?
