Hi,
I am a 2nd timer and my wife is a 1st timer, can my wife apply for a new BTO flat. The 1st hdb flat is in 1978 apply together with my parent and the 2nd hdb flat is in 1988 apply together with my wife. The present flat is a resale flat. Thanks.

Hi Steven,

You can apply for BTO if you have not received subsidy more than 2 times. Subsidized flat examples include (buy direct from HDB, resale flat with grant etc.) If you have purchased subsidized flats twice, you will be considered "3rd-timer" hence not eligible for BTO.

From what you have mentioned, it seems that you have only purchase 1 flat directly from HDB before. When you purchase this current resale flat, did you apply for the CPF housing grant? If you did not, then you will be eligible to apply for a BTO provided you meet the income requirement.
