Hi, I am 50 years old and is single. I owned a 3-room HDB flat which I intend to sell and upgrade to a 2-room condo. I have a steady job with a salary of around $5k but without savings. I am using the cash from the sale of the HDB to purchase the condo. Plse advise is this a good move and is now a good time to enter the market? My intention is to rent out the condo to finance the loan and wait for capital appreciation in the future. Appreciate your advice.

Afternoon Joey,

By selling your HDB, you should be able to get some cash profit and CPF return. With your income, we need to work with banks to under how much they are willing to disperse to you for the upcoming purchase. As for the intention of rental and capital yield, it would depend on which project you are looking at.

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.
