Hi, Hope someone can advice. I'm a foreigner. I'm considering to invest in private residential property (Condominium) in Singapore. What is the property tax like if I were to purchase it under an individual's name versus a company's name?

Hi,

If you are occupying a residential property, the property tax is only 4% of the annual value of the property. If the property is not owner-occupied, you have to pay the tax rate of 10% of the annual value of the property. In the case of non-residential property and vacant land, the tax rate is 10%, regardless of whether it is owner-occupied or not. However, if the property is purchased under a company's name, it will still be charged at 10% regardless of use.
