Hi, have question about HDB and private property. I'm Singaporean and have been living overseas for more than 6 years now. When I got married, I purchased a HDB 5-rm flat under Foreign Spouse scheme and I did not take up CPF grant. Have fulfilled MOP to date. We're interested to purchase another landed property in Singapore but we're not sure what's the legality as my husband is not Singaporean/PR. Are we eligible to buy landed house and keep existing HDB flat (for rental with HDB approval)? If yes, can my foreign husband be co-owner of the landed house? If yes, what's the down-payment required by banks these days for purchasing a private property? Thanks!
